Wednesday, 17 September, 2008
CathRx [ASX: CXD] has secured the first sales of its diagnostic modular heart catheters to its UK distributor, in the company's first ever sale to Europe.
Cardiac catheters are minimally invasive tools widely used by specialist cardiologists to help diagnose and treat different types of cardiac arrhythmias.
The global market for cardiac catheters is predicted to be around $1.25 billion, with the European market alone worth $333.2 million.
CathRx plans to offer a progressively-expanding 'toolbox' of heart surgery tools to the European market in the next three quarters.
