Cook expands up north
Monday, 10 November, 2008
Medical device manufacturer Cook Medical is building a $21 million medical research and manufacturing facility at the Brisbane Technology Park, due for completion in February 2009.
The new 6,500sqm research and manufacturing facility will house Cook Australia’s research and development, medical device manufacturing and administrative operations.
It will be the only manufacturing site for the Cook Group in the Asia Pacific and will concentrate on research into interventional vascular technologies and medical devices.
More than 300 people are expected to be housed in the new facility. Brisbane Technology Park’s development manager, Graystone, will acquire Cook Australia’s existing 1.89 hectare site and transform it into a new $130 million technology-focused precinct.
