Michrom Bioresources appoints ProteoMass

Equipment specialist ProteoMass Australia has been appointed as the exclusive distributor in Australia and New Zealand for Michrom Bioresources, specialists in life science sample preparation and delivery tools.
Based in the US, Michrom Bioresources offers a range of mass spectrometry, chromatography and sample preparation technologies.
Systems and products are focused on aiding researchers at the cutting edge of life science research, with capillary and nano flow HPLC systems. Protein and peptide standards are available along with a range of chromatography columns.
ProteoMass Australia's managing director, Dr Ian Ransley, said Michrom had just launched a new electrospray ion source. The ADVANCE source allows coupling of ul/min flow rates to Thermo LCMS/MS systems, offering a robust and sensitive ionisation source.
The source provides greater throughput then previous generations at a lower cost point then other LCMS sources currently available, he said.
