Australian confocal microscopy specialist Optiscan Imaging (ASX: OIL) is expanding the global market for its endomicroscopes, including setting up a US sales office to further awareness of its FIVE 1 endomicroscope for pre-clinical research.
FIVE 1, or fluorescence in vivo endomicroscopy, is aimed at cellular research, including stem cell and tissue regeneration research.
Optiscan also has a partnership with Pentax to develop flexible endomicroscopes, which are being used in a global clinical trial.
Optiscan has set up a sales office in San Diego, California, and has distributors throughout Europe and Asia.
