SCS goes green
Wednesday, 18 June, 2008
Stem Cell Sciences (ASX: STC) will license a green florescent protein (GFP) technology from US-based Prolume, the company announced today.
GFP can be used to tag certain cells and follow their development. It can, for example, be used by stem cell cultivators to isolate cells which have developed from particularly enriched stem cells.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The GFP technology will be added to SCS's Proven research reagents portfolio and to some of its stem cell-related technologies.
