The new bottle design has an angled neck for easier pipetting and pouring; compact form for improved handling and storage; and wider mouth to reduce the chance of contact with the pipette. The GIBCO redesign process used data gathered from observing cell culture scientists in their everyday “under-the-hood” laboratory work-flow. The bottle was designed with direct input from these researchers throughout the entire development process to ensure maximum efficiency and ease of use. The key features of the new bottle speak directly to challenges revealed during field research with scientists: accuracy of pouring and measuring, improved storage and handling, easier identification and additional room for supplements.
