2Fr solid-state wireless pressure catheter
Tuesday, 17 August, 2010
Millar Instruments and Telemetry Research have set a new standard for telemetry research by developing the TRM53P. It is the first fully implantable solid-state wireless pressure-sensing catheter, which works seamlessly with ADInstruments PowerLab systems and LabChart to acquire and analyse cardiovascular data. Measuring just 2Fr (0.66 mm), the TRM53P has a superior frequency response (500 Hz) and is configured for extremely low offset drift, even during deep implantation. With rechargeable batteries, the TRM53P can be reused up to 100 times in animals as small as 200 g.
