AusBiotech recruiting for French devices and diagnostics tour
Thursday, 05 September, 2002
Up to 20 AusBiotech members are being offered the chance to take part in a medical devices and diagnostics mission in France this November 4-8, under the auspices of the French-Australian Industrial Research (FAIR) program.
Since 1993, FAIR has held a series of workshops in specific technology fields with the aim of matching Australian and French organisations with similar objectives, thereby allowing them to explore opportunities for collaborative projects.
FAIR is the result of an agreement between the French and Australian national governments which seeks to assist companies and research institutions in Australia and France to build links through collaboration.
The Federal Department of Education, Science and Training will subsidise a proportion of the travel, living and freight costs for those chosen to participate in the mission.
The offer includes:
- The opportunity to meet with French organisations with similar interests in a series of networking activities to discuss joint projects in industrial research, technology transfer, and/or commercial development.
- Participating in training and information sessions on doing business in this area in France.
- Subsidy of up to $2500 for return, economy class international air fares.
- Living allowance of $200 per day per company for a maximum period of seven days during the mission.
- Subsidy of $500 for travel within France, and subsidy of $500 for freight costs.
