Australian biotech market today 31.03.09

A very flat day on the stock markets today, with the All Ordinaries down 0.2 per cent at 1.30pm. Pharma and biotech indices were one of the few in the positive, rising 0.68 per cent.

Pharmaxis (ASX:PXS) was up 11c to a healthy $1.71.

Cochlear (ASX:COH) and CSL (ASX:CSL) are both up, as is HeartWare (ASX:HIN) and ResMed (ASX:RMD).

Sirtex Medical (ASX:SRX) is down slightly, as is Progen (ASX:PGL).
