AusBiotech's NSW branch has assembled a high-profile line-up for a careers night this Wednesday March 26.
The event, to be held at Sydney's Garvan Institute from 5.30pm, is intended to give attendees a feel for the opportunities available across the spectrum of Australian biotech.
Speakers include NSW AusBiotech chair Mark Bradley (the biotechnology industry in Australia), Tony Weiss of the University of Sydney (academic science: the hotbed for biotech), Proteome Systems' Jonathan Arthur (the IT interface of biology), Abby Bloom of Health Innovations International (medical devices), Pfizer's Samantha O'Connor (big pharma, big opportunities), Phil Lehrbach of Fort Dodge (agbiotech: crop of the future), and the Garvan's Jonathan Izant (from bench to business).
A recruitment specialist from TMP Worldwide will also be on hand to discuss job-seeking issues.
