Chemeq names new CEO

Antimicrobial specialist Chemeq (ASX:CMQ) has named David Williams its new CEO and director, commencing August 1. Williams was formerly CEO of Epic Energy, a gas transmission company.

Chemeq's founder scientist, Graham Melrose, will remain executive chairman until a new chairman is appointed.

The company also announced that it has banked AUD$20 million after the allotment of 20,000 convertible bonds with a face value of $1000 each to Mizuho International, Stark Trading and Shepherd Investments. An aggregate additional subscription fee of $350,000 has been paid to the three companies.
