Flu's up for Rockeby
Thursday, 24 July, 2008
Rockeby Biomed [ASX: RBY] has received international orders for its bird flu tests worth a combined $252,000.
Payments have already been received from several south-east Asian, European and north African countries, and orders are in the process of delivery over the next few weeks, the company said.
The timing of the new orders is serendipitous, as Rockeby recently announced it had withdrawn from a non-binding agreement it had reached with an unnamed south-east Asian country.
According to company spokespeople, the decision to withdraw was reached because Rockeby had not received the advance payments stipulated by the agreement.
