Innovation review extended
Thursday, 31 July, 2008
The deadline for the green paper resulting from the National Innovation Review has been extended to August 29.
The review, chaired by Dr Terry Cutler, is aimed at developing a set of national innovation priorities to complement national research priorities. It is also tasked with identifying regulatory barriers to innovation.
Submissions to the review have topped 700 so far. The biotech industry was given an extension for its submissions after the May budget, following the canning of the Commercial Ready program.
Submissions have since closed but the review panel has been given an extra month to consider its response, Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, Senator Kim Carr, said today.
