IMT is a major initiative under the Victorian Government’s manufacturing strategy, A More Competitive Manufacturing Industry: New Directions for Industry Policy and Manufacturing. All grants must be matched by a minimum co-contribution of $3 for every $1 granted.

Applications are sought from manufacturers, with a Victorian presence and minimum three years trading history, who intend to purchase new technologies that will:

  • improve productivity and competitiveness;

  • strengthen capability; and

  • encourage wider and ongoing innovation.

Purchasing technology that is embedded in equipment and machinery should be central to proposed projects. Projects should also involve integrating the technology into the business, which may also include some facility redesign and training.

For more information including detailed program guidelines, eligibility and assessment criteria, required supporting documentation, funding round opening and closing dates and how to apply visit business.vic.gov.au/imt or call Business Victoria on 13 22 15.
