Scientifica PatchPad Evo electrophysiology controller
Scientifica introduces PatchPad Evo, a next-generation electrophysiology controller that provides precise control of multiple Scientifica motorised devices — including microscopes, stages and electrophysiology manipulators — from a single compact unit.
The product is designed for demanding in vivo electrophysiology applications such as patch clamp, where precise positioning is essential. It delivers smooth, responsive movement with continuous positional feedback to improve targeting accuracy, repeatability and confidence when working with delicate tissue.
An integrated display provides real-time XYZ coordinate feedback, giving researchers continuous awareness of probe position without relying on multiple software interfaces or a laptop. Axis status, stored positions, insertion depth, and reference points such as bregma can all be viewed and managed directly from the controller, enabling rapid navigation throughout an experiment.
Responsive tactile controls, customisable movement speeds, programmable memory positions and haptic control wheels allow users to move efficiently between key locations while maintaining the fine control required for cell targeting and patching. Home In and Home Out functions also make pipette exchange quick and repeatable.
By combining precision, efficiency and intuitive control in a single device, the controller is designed to streamline electrophysiology workflows, helping researchers work quickly while maintaining the confidence required for successful experiments.
