Draft Australian Standards

There are a number of new draft Australian Standards methods available for public comment at the moment. These will be of particular interest to those in food and water laboratories, and those undertaking testing for legionellae.

Standards available for public comment include:

  • DR 07001 [Project 5809] Waters - Examination for Legionella spp. including Legionella pneumophila (Revision of AS/NZS 3896:1998)
    Beginning Date for Comment: 2 January 2007
    Closing Date for Comment: 6 March 2007
  • DR 07021 [Project 5807] Waters microbiology Method 13: Pseudomonas aeruginosa - Membrane filtration method (Revision of AS 4276.13-1995)
    Beginning Date for Comment: 19 January 2007
    Closing Date for Comment: 23 March 2007
  • DR 07054 [Project 5163] Sound laboratory practice in food and water microbiology laboratories - Part 1: Premises, safety ,sample management, regulatory compliance and record management
    Beginning Date for Comment: 24 January 2007
    Closing Date for Comment: 28 March 2007
