An international competition is calling for designs for a universal nanotechnology hazard symbol.
Entries will be judged by a panel from the ETC Group (Action Group on Erosion Technology and Concentration) as well as participants at the World Social Forum, Nairobi in January 2007.
The winning entry will be submitted to international standard-setting bodies responsible for hazard characterisation, international government organisations and national governments as a proposed symbol for nanotechnology hazards.
Entries can be submitted at: www.etcgroup.org/nanohazard and the closing date is 8 January 2007.
