Balance Range

The Satorius Competence (CP) series of laboratory balances comprises 23 models: from a semimicro-balance with readability of 0.01 mg to a high-capacity balance with a capacity of 34 kg. The wide range of analytical and precision balances in this series offers a solution for every type of weighing task performed in the laboratory.

The CP line has a user-friendly product design. Models with readabilities of 0.01 mg, 0.1 mg and 1 mg come with a triangular weighing pan. The four-sided pans on the other models in the series are generously proportioned, so that large sample containers can be positioned easily and safely.

The display is backlit in blue, with high contrast and large numbers (16.5 mm). It is easy to read under any lighting conditions. The intensity of the backlighting can be adapted to individual preferences.

The triangular draft shield, standard equipment on models with 1 mg readability, allows greater efficiency when working with the CP. Any of the three draft shield panels - right, left or front - can be removed, making the weighing pan easily accessible for both left- and right-handed users.

The all-glass draft shield on the semimicro-balance (0.01 mg) and analytical balances has smooth-action doors that open very wide. The large weighing chamber enables fast and reliable positioning of any type of sample. All parts of the weighing chamber base can be removed, to facilitate quick and easy cleaning.

The monolithic weighing technology is characterised by fast response times, good repeatability and mechanical ruggedness.

The weigh cell has been designed to meet the requirements of higher weighing capacities and is milled from a single block of a resilient aluminum alloy.

The semimicro- and analytical balances are equipped with a built-in motorised calibration weight. This means that series of measurements can be performed easily with consistently accurate results.

All models in the CP series are equipped with a bi-directional RS-232 port for communication with a PC, an analytical instrument or a robot. The logging capacity for ISO/GLP-compliant documentation of all balance-generated date offers ideal support for integrating CP balances into quality management systems.

The CP also comes with user-friendly programs for expanded applications, such as weighing in percent, net-total formulation, dynamic or animal weighing, mass unit conversion by toggling, and counting.
