This free of charge case study comprehensively describes the historical background of production and IS at AstraZeneca, the key functional requirements using Pathfinder requirements mapping workshops, development enhancements required to SampleManager, systems integration, implementation and go-live, project review and future plans.

AstraZeneca's requirement was for a solution to help ensure the consistency and quality of product throughout the whole manufacturing process, integrated across three production plants and validated before the Y2K deadline. This was achieved against the background of the large-scale merger that saw the formation of AstraZeneca.
