Smarter DNA gel-purification

The easiest way to gel extract your DNA band.

The E-Gel® CloneWell 0.8% SYBR® Safe gels and E-Gel® iBase™ Power System provide the easiest, most effective method for isolating DNA bands separated by agarose gel electrophoresis. You will:

  • Save time - there are no additional gel purification steps required after electrophoresis
  • Simplify DNA recovery - remove purified DNA directly from the well with a pipette
  • Improve cloning results - minimise DNA damage and get more colony forming units for any cloning method

The E-Gel® CloneWell 0.8% SYBR® Safe gel features two rows of wells. To extract your DNA band of interest without conventional gel purification, simply load your sample into the top row and electrophorese using the E-Gel® iBase™ Power System, until your band moves into the bottom row of wells. Then use a pipette to easily remove your purified DNA band.

SYBR® Safe DNA Gel Stain is incorporated into the gel itself, allowing you to visually monitor migration on a blue-light transilluminator, such as the Safe Imager™ Blue-Light Transilluminator. This ensures maximum possible safety to the user and gives improved cloning efficiency over ethidium bromide and UV.
