GPC/SEC columns from Polymer Standards Service (PSS) offer a wide range of stationary phases for different polarities, optimised for aqueous or organic solvents. The column can be selected by different criteria depending on the user’s analytical goal (high resolution, product screening, etc).
The PSS column concept intends to minimise interactions between polymer and stationary phases by providing stationary phases of different polarities. In general samples, the polarity of the sample defines the polarity of the solvent and also that of the stationary phase. The PSS magic triangle provides a quick visual aid for the selection of columns, where the three sides represent sample, mobile phase and stationary phase. If still in doubt, use the PSS column application database or the PSS column selection app.
The column range includes: analytical linear or mixed bed columns for product screening at constant peak resolution; analytical single porosity columns for high resolution and maximum information; HighSpeed columns for fast results needed in process control and high-throughput screening; micro columns for solvent-saving, small-sample amounts; preparative columns for preparative sample fractionation and sample collection; and Lux columns for GPC/SEC-light scattering or triple detections.
