Multi-vendor compatibility for chromatography
Japan's Shimadzu Corporation will collaborate with Waters Corporation in the US to develop software that enables the control of Shimadzu's Prominence series liquid chromatograph systems using the Waters Empower chromatography software.
The collaboration is intended to benefit customers by providing an integrated solution for users requiring multivendor compatibility.
Quality control departments in the pharmaceutical industry increasingly need to integrate the data from multiple chromatographs used in their laboratories.
This has led to increasing demand for a single chromatograph data system that can operate chromatographs from a variety of manufacturers.
