Light-scattering protein analysis

The DynaPro NanoStar from Wyatt Technology is a dynamic light-scattering instrument that is used for the analysis of protein solutions, promiscuous inhibitors, buffers or other products in solution.

The NanoStar has more than twice the signal-to-noise ratio of its predecessor. It has a TCP/IP interface, so it can be easily integrated with a laboratory network and operated from anywhere with an internet connection. Its double-density correlator has 512 bins from 100 ns to 1 h, and comes equipped with automatic attenuation over five orders of magnitude to maximise its range.

A dedicated static light-scattering detector allows the user to measure both hydrodynamic radii and absolute molecular weight with the NanoStar.
