Ultra high resolution microscopy cameras

The latest Jenoptik GRYPHAX® ultra high resolution microscopy cameras are the ideal cameras for optimal microscope imaging. Equipped with highly sensitive back illuminated CMOS sensors up to 20 MP for excellent, professional image quality, true-colour reproduction and fast live images in full HD. These microscopy cameras are easy to use, affordable and come in 11 different models, colour or monochrome. They can be used for routine microscopy techniques such as brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, DIC and polarized light, or there are the more specialized models for low-light fluorescence applications.

Any laboratory setting such as life science, medical science, research, pathology, histopathology, cell and plant biology, forensic medicine, haematology, cytology, genetics, neuroscience, fluorescence, chemistry, cell culture, oncology and entomology would benefit from these great quality, German made cameras that come with a 2 year warranty.

If your old, outdated microscope camera is no longer performing, trade it in for one of the high resolution Jenoptik GRYPHAX cameras and experience high image quality and versatility as all cameras offer live images in video speed and thus facilitate your daily work. Additionally, these cameras are suitable for all microscope brands.

The GRYPHAX cameras offer a particularly large sensor format for microscopy with up to 50 fps @ full HD. Short exposure times and high frame rates make the camera quick and easy to use. Even moving objects can be analysed with minimal effort. Images are captured at up to 12 bit making colour reproduction accurate with precise representation of even the smallest detail.

All the cameras share the same form factor, and all are controlled by GRYPHAX image capture software which is included with a convenient graphical user interface and a modern USB 3.0 super speed interface. The USB 3.0 cable provides power to the camera as well as output from the camera to the computer. They require standard microscope C-mount adapters. You will always stay up-to-date with the free software updates. The user-friendly software can be installed on your WIN, MAC or Linux operating system.

Jenoptik GRYPHAX cameras for routine microscopy including Brightfield, Darkfield, Phase Contrast, DIC, and Polarized Light:

GRYPHAX SUBRA: a 2.1MP 1080p full HD live imaging colour camera with a 1/1.2″ 13.3 mm CMOS sensor with pixel dimensions 5.86 x 5.86 μm. The SUBRA has become the most popular dedicated microscope camera as it has proven to be fast and reliable.

GRYPHAX ARKTUR: 8MP 4k HD resolution with 2/3″ colour sensor with 2.4 micron pixels. It outputs up to 30 fps at full 8MP resolution, and up to 50 fps at 1080p resolution. 8MP is just about perfect for a typical microscopy camera, with plenty of resolution for scientific publications at up to 12.8″ x 7.2″ prints at 300dpi. Fits perfectly to 4K monitors.

GRYPHAX NAOS: The NAOS camera is a breakthrough in terms of resolution and cost for a scientific grade dedicated microscope camera. The NAOS has a full 1″, 20MP colour sensor with 2.4 micron pixels. Live output from the NAOS is a maximum of 2700 x 1800 pixels (about 5MP) at 30 fps, but the still capture resolution is an incredible 5400 x 3600 pixels (20MP).

GRYPHAX ALTAIR: back-illuminated CMOS 1/1.75″ 9.3 mm, 1.85 x 1.85 μm, 3 & 12 MP colour sensor. 1920 x 1080 pixel I 30 fps in LIVE mode.

GRYPHAX AVOIR: back-illuminated CMOS 1/2″ 8.2 mm, 1.85 x 1.85 μm, 8MP colour sensor. FULL HD - 1920 x 1080 pixel up to 25 fps in video mode.

GRYPHAX BETRIA: back-illuminated CMOS 1/1.75″ 9.3 mm, pixel dimensions 3.7 x 3.7 μm, monochrome sensor, 1000 x 750 pixel I 20 fps | 2000 x 1500 pixel I 20 fps in LIVE mode and 1000 x 750 pixel up to 20 fps in video mode.

Jenoptik GRYPHAX cameras for low light fluorescence microscopy:

GRYPHAX KAPELLA: 1/1.2″ colour sensor; 1920 x 1200 (2.3MP) resolution with 60 fps, 5.86um pixels, global shutter. Superior solution for fluorescence applications.

GRYPHAX RIGEL: 1/1.2″ monochrome sensor; 1920 x 1200 (2.3MP) resolution with 60 fps, 5.86um pixels. A great camera for monochrome fluorescence applications.

GRYPHAX PROKYON: 2.3MP, 1/1.2″ colour sensor; 1920 x 1200 (scanning up to 20.7MP) resolution, 5.86um pixels, dynamic range 73.3 dB and global shutter.

GRYPHAX POLARIS: back-illuminated CMOS 1/1.2″ 12.2 mm, pixel dimensions 7.2 x 7.2 μm, monochrome camera, up to 22fps in LIVE and VIDEO mode.

GRYPHAX WEGA: back-illuminated CMOS 1/1.2″ 13.3 mm, full HD monochrome camera offering a significantly larger sensor format than other CMOS cameras and can deliver full HD recording of live images at video speed with a USB 3.0 interface.
