Preparation for immunoassays seminar
The Fluorescence Applications in Biotechnology and Life Sciences Network and Science Industry Australia are preparing to run a seminar titled Luminescent Energy Transfer Immunoassays for the Rapid and Sensitive Detection of Analyte in Complex Matrices, to be held at Macquarie University on Tuesday 19 February.
Dr Peter Banks, of PerkinElmer, will feature at this event with his rich history and understanding in the development of labelling and detection technologies for immunoassays.
The company itself has been actively involved in the transition from radio-luminescence to other forms of emission; enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay (ELISA) methods based on colourimetric detection; developing fluorescence-based immunoassay methods; labelling antibodies with proprietary lanthanide chelates; HTS with its time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer (TR-FRET) technology; and developing additional technology based on luminescence energy transfer that is not limited by Förster radii.
The seminar will be held on Tuesday 19 February 2008, 2–3 pm, in building E6A, Room 102 at Macquarie University, Sydney.
