Mettler Toledo's halogen moisture balances are accurate, fast and an easy resistance testing

Fluke Corporation has introduced a 5 kV insulation resistance tester - the Fluke 1550B MegOhmMeter. It combines insulation resistance testing up to 5000 V with measurement storage and PC interface software making it suitable for installation testing, preventive maintenance and commissioning.

The 1550B features: standard test voltages starting at 250 V; programmable test voltages available in 50 V steps from 250 to 1000 V and 100 V steps from 1000 to 5000 V; automatic calculation of dielectric absorption and polarisation index with no set-up; improved ramp function from 0 to 5000 VDC for breakdown testing; measurement storage in 99 memory locations, each assignable a unique, user defined, four character (alphanumeric) label for easy recall; and improved results download to a Windows-based computer using the Quicklink 1550B software and optical interface cable that come with the meter.

Easy to use, the meter provides insulation resistance testing up to one teraohm, with five standard output voltages: 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000 V. The 1550B's warning voltage alerts notify the user that voltage is present and give the voltage reading up to 600 VAC or DC. With its large, fast-responding analog/digital display, the 1550B shows measurement changes graphically with easy-to-read analog bargraphs as well as digital measurements.
