Edwards' in-house manufacturing division has available the low-cost QikSpin personal microcentrifuge made in Australia. The centrifuge's maximum speed is 6000 rpm producing 2000 rcf. Two interchangeable rotors are supplied with each unit to accommodate 16 x 0.2 mL and 8 x 0.5/1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes.
The QikSpin has a very small bench footprint and is a personal assistant for quick spin-down of tubes at individual workstations.
