Thermo Fisher Scientific AquaTec water preservation cell

The AquaTec water preservation cell can be used to protect samples from water-borne contaminants without the use of harsh chemicals.

Users simply place the 3 (~7.5 cm) cell into the water reservoir of any CO2 incubator or water bath. It prevents contamination for up to six months from most types of bacteria, viruses, moulds and fungi.

The cell is suitable for laboratory applications across a broad range of biological research temperature environments. It is claimed to be safe to handle without gloves, requires no special protocol for disposal and delivers virtually maintenance-free microbe protection.

It can be used with all laboratory water types, including tap. It automatically self-regulates to maintain proper disinfecting concentration and effectiveness regardless of the water level and is easy to use in equipment from any manufacturer.

Each water preservation cell comes with optional suction cups for easy mounting on the reservoir wall.
