Biospek Drugs of Abuse Rapid Tests provide reliable diagnostic information and are available as test strips or test cassettes.
The tests feature a simple handling procedure that requires only a minimum of training. No sophisticated analytical equipment is needed and there are no specific storage requirements. The tests are always ready for use without specific preparations.
The Drugs of Abuse (DOA) kits come in two formats: test strip or cassette.
Simple test strips are the most economic way to perform the requested test from urine, serum, plasma or whole blood samples. The strip is dipped into the sample for 3-10 s and the result can be read after 5-15 mins. Test strips are packed in sealed pouches one by one including desiccant and are available in units of 25 or 50 strips.
The cassette is a plastic device containing the test strip. The sample is applied to the test well by means of a plastic pipette supplied with each cassette. The construction of the cassette ensures a steady flow of the sample through the reactive test area. Saliva test kits are also available for similar testing.
The test kits can test for 10 different types of drugs: amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, metamphetamine, methadone, opiates, phencyclidine and tricyclic antidepressants.
