Former AustCancer CEO Paul Hopper has joined the board of Perth-based Bone Medical (ASX:BNE), among other changes at the company, including the resignation of Michael Perrott from the board.
Bone's major shareholder Proxima Concepts is rotating its board representative at Bone, with Glen Travers stepping down and being replaced by Dr Roger New.
Hopper, based in San Diego, has 25 years experience in public company markets, primarily in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors, Bone said. As well as his stint as CEO of AustCancer (since renamed Avantogen), he is a former MD of Alpha Healthcare. He has chaired and run various US biotech companies.
Dr Roger New is a founder and chief scientist of Bone Medical. The company said he had 30 years' experience in R&D in drug delivery, and is an expert on liposomes.
