Compumedics' (ASX:CMP) has reported revenues of AUD$38 million for the 2004-2005 financial year, with the company's audited results anticipated to be released during the second half of August.

However, the company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for the year will show a loss of approximately $2.4 million, of which about $1.1 million is non cash foreign exchange losses. The loss after tax will be approximately $3.5 million.

The lower than anticipated earnings for the company was due to a number of factors including lower than expected margins, particularly on June sales, and additional costs associated with the hiring of new or additional sales and marketing executives, and legal costs.

Compumedics generated sales of over $8 million in June, representing more than 20 per cent of revenue generated for the year. The company expects to operate profitably for 2006.
