Expression of interest invited for TGA statutory advisory committees

Tuesday, 23 July, 2013

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from experts for various positions on a number of statutory advisory committees. These committees provide independent expert advice to the Minister for Health and to the TGA on specific scientific and technical matters, which aids the TGA’s regulatory decision-making and other regulatory processes.

The requirements and terms of appointment for each of the TGA’s statutory advisory committees are provided in the Therapeutic Goods Regulations 1990, Part 6, Division 1-1F, including the fields of expertise required for each committee. Individuals interested in applying are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the expert fields required before proceeding with an EOI.

Remuneration and travel for all TGA statutory advisory committees is provided in accordance with the latest determination of the Remuneration Tribunal.

Applications close Sunday 4 August 2013.

EOI are invited for the following statutory advisory committees:

  • Advisory Committee on the Safety of Medicines
  • Advisory Committee on the Safety of Medical Devices
  • Advisory Committee on Biologicals
  • Advisory Committee on Complementary Medicines
  • Advisory Committee on Medical Devices
  • Advisory Committee on Non-prescription Medicines
  • Advisory Committee on Prescription Medicines
