GE Healthcare appoints BioProcess chief for Asia
GE Healthcare Life Sciences has appointed Olivier Loeillot to the newly created role of general manager, Asia commercial for the company’s BioProcess business.
Loeillot is currently also general manager for enterprise solutions at GE Healthcare and will retain this position in addition to his new role. Prior to joining GE, Loeillot held a series of leadership roles at Lonza.
GE Healthcare general manager for global commercial BioProcess Emmanual Ligner said the new appointment reflects the company’s recent business developments in the Asian region.
These include deals to build a modular biopharmaceutical factory in China for Taiwan-based JHL Biotech and one to install a biomanufacturing platform at JHL’s research centre in Taiwan.
“The biopharmaceutical sector in Asia is seeing a lot of rapid growth and we are delighted that Olivier is heading up our efforts in this dynamic region,” Ligner said.
“Olivier’s extensive experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing will strengthen significantly our ability to serve our customers there.”
