Industry body MTAA names newest board
The Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA) has appointed three new directors and announced the departure of two more.
At the industry body’s AGM last week, three board members were elected - Device Technologies Australia CFO Emma Cleary, St Jude Medical Australia managing director David Jolly and Medtronic Australasia senior director of corporate affairs Andrew Wiltshire.
At the same time, Jamie Stanistreet and Mick Trevaskis stepped down from the board after serving the maximum six-year term.

The new MTAA board now consists of the new appointees, chair Kevin Barrow, vice chairs Carmen Byrne and Gavin Fox-Smith and four other board members.
Barrow is managing director for ANZ at Becton Dickinson, Byrne is general manager for ANZ at 3M Healthcare and Fox-Smith is managing director for global surgery at Johnson & Johnson Medical ANZG.
The four other directors are Paul Braico, managing director for ANZ at Boston Scientific; Pat Callanan, country manager for American Medical Systems Australia; Graham McLean, managing director of Stryker Australia; and Doug North, managing director of Surgical Specialties.
The MTAA last month appointed health and agribusiness veteran Susanne Tegen as its new CEO.
