iSonea unveils cloud asthma monitoring tool
iSonea (ASX:ISN) has unveiled a new cloud-based asthma monitoring mobile health technology.
The company is using the Asthma Foundation’s Tackling Asthma in Australia conference to show off AsthmaSense Cloud.
The product enables transfer and storage of asthma tracking data from the AsthmaSense smartphone app to a cloud-based site. Users can then share the data with their physicians, caregivers or family.
iSonea is aiming to launch AsthmaSense Cloud at the end of March.
The company is also using the conference to preview its AirSonea portable wheeze monitoring device, which is scheduled to launch later this year. AirSonea is an app-based wheeze monitoring product for smartphones.
“The global market launch of AirSonea will begin with rollout in Australia,” iSonea CEO Michael Thomas said.
iSonea changed its name from KarmelSonix in August 2011. The company has a head office in Sydney and a corporate headquarters in the US.
The company’s existing asthma monitoring products on the market include the Wheezometer and the Pulmotrack.
iSonea shares were trading 1.32% lower at $0.075 as of around 1.30 pm on Tuesday.
