New WA AusBiotech industry development officer appointed

Michelle was most recently the Managing Director of an events management company where her clients ranged from government to academia and industry. In addition to events, the company offered administration support to various industry associations , both locally and internationally.
Michelle managed the Innovation Centre of WA on behalf of the WA State Government from 2007-2010. She has extensive experience helping to develop and foster the innovation community by delivering government programs, such as the WA Innovator of the Year, Leading Lights and various networking events.
The Western Australian Branch Committee has a strategic and advisory role. Michelle’s work will assist the Committee in identifying issues, providing advice on how to address industry issues and support networking and investor events in their work to develop the industry.
Mr Brian Leedman, Vice President of Investor Relations at pSivida Corp and Chair of the WA Branch Committee said: “On behalf of the Western Australian biotechnology community, we welcome the appointment of Michelle whose extensive government and industry connections will serve her well in her new role.”
