Nominate now for the 2015 CSL Florey Medal
Nominations are now open for the 2015 CSL Florey Medal, awarded biennially to an Australian researcher who has made a significant lifetime achievement in biomedical science and/or human health advancement.
The medal was established in 1998 by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science (AIPS) in honour of Sir Howard Florey, who developed penicillin. Previous recipients include Professors Graeme Clark, Ian Frazer and Ruth Bishop.
“The CSL Florey Medal recognises Australians whose work goes on to have a global impact and inspire the next generation,” said AIPS General Manager Camille Thomson.
The 2015 CSL Florey medallist will be awarded at a ceremony in Canberra on 11 November. The winner will receive a silver medal and a prize of $50,000, courtesy of award sponsor CSL.
