Product Wars: Survival gadgets
Friday, 18 September, 2009
If the Tom Hanks movie Cast Away is anything to go by, being marooned on a deserted island is not much fun.
Yes, it is a fictional film and a person’s chance of encountering the same situation is exceptionally low, but if you unfortunate enough be stranded on a remote island, what gadget would be most useful to you? In this week’s ARN Product Wars, we have gathered a range of survival gadgets and pitted them against each other.
The candidates are: Coleman 5-in-1 survival whistle (with waterproof matchbox and fire starter flint), Dynamo wind-up LED flashlight, FreeLoader pro solar charger, Heininger reusable flameless flare, Life Safer water filter bottle, OHSO Pocket toothbrush, Overboard waterproof gadget case, ResQFix personal locator beacon, SLP2 knife with flashlight and Solar light cap.
