Starpharma (ASX:SPL) and Ansell have received clearance to market their VivaGel co-branded condoms in New Zealand.

Ansell and its New Zealand distributor EBOS Group have completed all the regulatory requirements to sell the LifeStyles Dual Protect brand condoms in the market.

The condoms are coated with Starpharma’s VivaGel antimicrobial gel and carry the VivaGel brand on the packaging.

The New Zealand label for the products will state that VivaGel has been shown in lab studies to inactivate up to 99.9% of HIV, herpes and HPV.

Starpharma and Ansell are already selling the condoms in Woolworths stores across Australia and are seeking regulatory approval in more markets.

Another Starpharma licensee, Japan’s Okamoto Industries, has also won approval to sell VivaGel coated condoms in its domestic market.

Starpharma separately revealed it has moved its corporate office from Abbotsford in Victoria to Melbourne central. Its new address is the Baker IDI Building on Commercial Road.

Starpharma (ASX:SPL) shares were trading 1.02% lower at $0.485 as of around 1.30 pm on Tuesday.
