A group of pharmaceutical companies has combined to develop the next-generation impactor specifically for pharmaceutical inhalers.

The Copley Scientific NGI is a particle classifying cascade impactor for testing MDIs and DPIs. Collection cups are used instead of stages, which makes analyses much faster and easier.Flow range is 30 to 100 L/min and particle size range is 0.23 to 11 µm.

The seven stages have good efficiency, with good recovery and low internal loss. The NGI is unaffected by static and is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
