BioTOF-Q is an ultra-high performance electrospray ionisation (ESI) mass-selective quadrupole/collision quadrupole/time-of-flight analyser (Q-q-TOF) mass spectrometer. It adds tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) capabilities to the Bruker BioTOF II high-resolution LC-ESI-TOF system.
Tandem mass spectrometry using a Q-q-TOF geometry permits the sensitive and accurate determination of molecular fragments in proteomics identification, de novo peptide sequencing, complex mixture analysis and other life-science applications.
The Q system has the Compass method for significantly improved mass resolution greater than 20,000, and accurate mass measurement capability.
