Clonetics Diabetic Type I and Type II human skeletal muscle myoblasts

Clonetics Diabetic Type I and Type II human skeletal muscle myoblasts (HSMM) are isolated from donors diagnosed with either Diabetes Type I or Diabetes Type II. Additional donor information is available by contacting Lonza’s Scientific Support.

Diseased cells are tested in the same SkGM-2 Skeletal Muscle Growth Media as the normal cells, allowing for easy comparisons between diseased and normal tissue.

Both diseased and normal HSMM cultures can be used for the study of cellular development and differentiation, insulin uptake or resistance, tissue repair and the metabolic effects of diabetes on skeletal muscle tissue. The myoblasts are claimed to be convenient and easy to use, allowing users to focus on results.

Cryopreserved HSMM are supplied as frozen primary-derived cells.

Clonetics cells, medium and reagents are quality tested together and are guaranteed to give optimum performance.
