Drug repositioning or repurposing can be an important part of any drug discovery program. The Enzo Life Sciences Screen-Well FDA-approved drug library has been revised to provide over 100 more compounds, including recent FDA-approved drugs, making it a complete option for drug repurposing screens.

Being FDA approved and in use in clinics, all of the compounds in the drug library have known and well-characterised bioactivity, safety and bioavailability for diverse targets - properties which could dramatically accelerate drug development and optimisation. Its diverse compounds are approved for cardiovascular, neuropsychological, immunological, oncological and other uses.

The library avoids irrelevant compounds found in similar libraries, such as herbicides, insecticides, sunscreen agents and cytotoxic agents. Comprehensive documentation includes a compound list and SD files with indication and mechanism of action.
