Calzada appoints new chairman

Calzada (ASX:CZD) has selected new board member David Williams to take over as chairman.

Former chairman Roger Aston has stepped down, citing his increased time commitments in his current executive positions. He will retain a seat on the Calzada board.

Williams joined the Calzada board at the end of February. He is currently also chairman of Medical Developments International (ASX:MVP) and a director of IDT (ASX:IDT).

Williams has had a 30-year career working with public companies in the food, medical device and pharmaceutical sectors.

As part of Williams’ promotion and subject to shareholder approval, the board plans to offer him an options package.

Calzada (ASX:CZD) shares were trading 4.35% higher at $0.12 as of around 1.30 pm on Monday.
