Excelitas Technologies pco.edge 5.5 DS CLHS double shutter sCMOS camera
Excelitas Technologies has launched its latest double shutter camera model, the pco.edge 5.5 DS CLHS. The camera is equipped with a sCMOS global double shutter and 10G fibre-optic CLHS FOL data interface. It has been engineered to provide the shortest possible interframing time in double shutter mode, which should allow users to capture rapid, sequential events with precision.
With a high-resolution sensor of 5.5 MP and operating in 16-bit mode designed for precise imaging, the double shutter mode enables an interframing time of 100 ns, suitable for capturing fast dynamic processes. The camera is suitable for applications requiring high detail and speed, such as in particle image velocimetry (PIV) applications.
Additional applications include tunnel inspection, structured illumination microscopy (SIM), high-speed bright-field ratio imaging, high-throughput screening, high-content screening, biochip reading, total internal reflection microscopy (TITF), spinning disk confocal microscopy and ophthalmology, as well as detailed imagery of fast-moving objects.
Additional features include resolution of 2560 pixels x 2160 pixels; a maximum frame rate at full resolution of 25 fps (double shutter); and pixel size of 6.5 x 6.5 μm. The camera comes in both colour and monochrome versions.
