Abcam RabMAb rabbit monoclonal antibodies

Rabbit monoclonal (RabMAb) antibodies offer the antigen recognition of the rabbit immune system combined with the specificity and consistency of a monoclonal, providing antibodies with good binding affinity and bioactivity in a wide variety of biological assays. RabMAb technology makes it possible to develop high-quality monoclonal antibodies for research, diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

The basic principle for making a RabMAb primary antibody is the same as for mouse monoclonals. Rabbit fusion partner cells can fuse to rabbit B-cells to create the Rabbit Hybridoma cells, true rabbit-to-rabbit hybridomas.

The antibodies offer multiple advantages over the traditional mouse monoclonal and rabbit polyclonal antibodies, including low background, high affinity, and diverse and novel epitope recognition. The product is good for IHC and fully validated in multiple applications and species. It is suitable for post-translational modification detection and for use in mouse.
