VWR BDH Prolabo HPLC and LCMS solvents

VWR BDH Prolabo is offering a wide selection of solvents for HPLC and LCMS applications. The high-quality solvents are designed to meet users’ analytical and quality-control requirements.

The BDH Prolabo HPLC range includes over 30 different products. The acetonitrile super-gradient grade VWRC83639.320, in a 2.5 L glass bottle, features very high transmittance at 200 nm (min 95%) and a very low level of water (max 30 ppm). The water super-gradient VWRC83650.320, in a 2.5 L glass bottle, features specifications on colour (max 10 APHA) and specific conductivity (max 1 μs/cm), with gradient test at 200 and 254 nm and fluorescence test at 254 and 365 nm.

The company’s LC-MS grade solvents include the acetonitrile VWRC83640.320/290, methanol VWRC83638.320/290 and water VWRC83645.320/290 in 2.5 and 1 L glass bottles. The solvents are specifically manufactured to meet the needs of LC-MS instruments. They combine the high performance and stable baseline of HPLC solvents with the absence of extraneous peaks, as detected by GC-ECD.

The HPLC solvents are specified to meet the highly demanding requirements of HPLC, LC-UV and LC-MS applications, with high UV transmission and gradient test at 210, 235 or 254 nm. Additional specifications for the LC-MS grade products include a low alkaline metal content of maximum 0.1 ppm; and impurities causing interfering peaks on gas chromatogram no greater than 5 ng/L of lindane by electron capture detection or 10 ng/mL of ethyl parathion by phosphorous nitrogen detection.
