Bronkhorst High-Tech Select series digital mass flowmeters
06 October, 2010 | Supplied by: Anri Instruments & Controls Pty Ltd
Bronkhorst High-Tech has released the Select series of digital mass flowmeters and controllers for gases. The meters offer greater flexibility for user selection of both flow ranges and gas types. As a result of the ‘multi fluid multi range’ feature, in combination with a high rangeability (up to 187.5:1), users will be able to reduce the variety of spare instruments they keep on stock and thus reduce the cost of ownership. Users of MFCs in pilot plants or laboratories can rescale their instruments on site, saving time and money for dismounting and recalibration.

Label-free ligand fishing
06 September, 2010 by Elodie Ly-Morin, Wilfrid Boireau, Patrick Ducouroy, Sophie Bellon, Chiraz Frydman
Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is an emerging technique in the bio and life-science markets. It offers a new generation of label-free biomolecular analyses, providing information on kinetic processes (association and dissociation), binding affinity, analyte concentration and real-time molecule detection. It has become a powerful tool for the analysis of biomolecular events involved in drug development, cancer research, antibody screening and more.

Kartell pipette filler (Art. 200)
06 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Sieper & Co Pty Ltd
Kartell’s pipette filler (Art. 200) is a moulded bulb made of synthetic rubber and has an approximate capacity of 60 mL. Three glass ball valves control the evacuation of air, liquid uptake and liquid dispensing. The valves are controlled by finger pressure. Users expel air from the bulb by squeezing the ‘A’ valve and the bulb at the same time. Liquid is drawn into the pipette by squeezing the ‘S’ valve and dispensed by squeezing the ‘E’ valve.
